I really appreciate the opportunity of creating this site and It was a pleasure to do! Thanks Loyd and Shirley.

Eastern Idaho Paint Horse Club

Description:

The Eastern Idaho Paint Horse Club Website is a site that I redesigned from an already pre-existing website, therefore thanks to this pre-existing website...eiphc.org, I was able to include the information needed to make this a functionable site for the club's members. I appreciate the opportunity and experience that I obtained from this project but would like to include some of the credit due to the webmasters who did an excellent job maintaining the eiphc.org website for years before.

Session 9 Review - Wizard Works

Description:

In Session 9 Review, I was introduced to XHTML, which is a reformulation of HTML written in the XML language. As with HTML and XML, the W3C maintains the specifications and standards for XHTML in different versions, released or in progress. I learned how to use an online validator to test a document for well-formedness and validity and how certain coding practices in HTML documents would lead to syntax errors in XHTML, such as using elements and attributes that are prohibited in XHTML.

Session 8

Description:

In Session 8, I learned how to use multimedia elements in a Web site, including creating links to sound and video clips and how to embed those clips within Web pages. I also learned some of the issues surrounding audio and video formats. I also was introduced to the history and use of Java applets, and how to insert Java applet into a Web page and how to set the parameter values for an applet.

Session 7

Description:

In Session 7, I was introduced to CSS or Cascading Style Sheets. You can use Cascading Style Sheets to create interesting and flexible layouts and designs. You can create embedded and external style sheets that have advantages over inline styles. This Webpage was redone using CSS. I am still very far from mastering it though, as you can probably tell by this webpage.

Review 5 - Yale Climbing School

Description:

The Yale Climbing School Web Page was designed with frames. Creating and using frames is more complicating than using tables because it involves a page (or frame), inside of another frame, which allows you to specify which document appears within each frame. Frames can be arranged in rows or columns within a set (or frameset). Creating framed and frameless versions of your Web site will accomodate different browsers and will offer a choice to users.

Template Project

Description:

The Template Project's intent was to show how using templates can make you faster, better and more productive, which is vital to being a successful web developer.
The Web Page on the left is an example of what was originally created from a template. There are additional sample templates that can be accessed and viewed inside of it. When using a template to create a Web site, you simply insert the information in the appropriate place, making templates very effective.

Review 4 - Park City Gazette Web Page

Description:

The skills that I learned in Review 4, The Park City Gazette Web site, was creating and using tables, both to display tubular data and as a layout tool. Learning about the different parts of a table, including table rows, table cells, and the table heading, body, and footer. I learned how to format a table's appearance by modifying the table size, alignment, and background colors. I also learned how to create row and column spanning cells, and how to work with column groups.

Case 3 - Pixal Web Page

Description:

Using the skills that I've learned from Review 3, to design a Web site for a digital camera company. The box of links along the left margin of the page is an inline image. To link the text entries in that box to their targets, I had to create an image map, therefore broadening my knowledge of inline images and image maps to create a page using these effects.

Review 3 - Arcadium Web Page

Description:

The Arcadium Web Page, I learned about the styles and HTML attributes available to modify the appearance of a Web site, and how HTML handles color, and how to use color to format the foreground and background of the page elements. I then learned about the different styles for formatting the appearance of Web page text. I used these styles to specify different fonts, font sizes, weights, and spacing. I was introduced to the different types of image maps along with the knowledge of how to create and use hotspots within an image map.

Case 2 - My Web Site

Description:

This page was my first Website page that I created for my home page. The Home Page was originally included to show the skills of being able to convert a file to ftp. It has changed since then and will, I'm sure, change from the current page now into a more professional one.

Review 1 - Mr. Dube'

Description:

This project was the first time that I have ever been introduced to the basics of HTML. I created my first HTML file through the use of two-sided and one-sided tags and learned how to use these tags to mark the various elements of the page, such as headings, paragraphs, and lists. I also learned how to use inline styles to provide formatting instructions for my browser. This review also covered how to insert inline images and horizontal lines into a Web page. Finally, I learned how to use HTML to insert special characters and symbols.
